💡 Guruvel Verdict

“NIT Durgapur is a Tier-1.5 NIT. It balances placements and campus life perfectly. If you are getting Metallurgy or Mechanical here, take it blindly over CSE in lower NITs because the industrial exposure is unmatched. For CSE/ECE, the ₹21 LPA average puts it in the elite league. The Branch Change option is a safety net, but don’t rely on it—getting a 9.0 SGPA is extremely tough.”
